Discovery Museum Celebrations, Grand Openings Next Weekend

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Garden State Discovery Museum is now Discovery Family Attractions, and will be celebrating two grand openings next weekend.

Discovery Family Attractions will celebrate the Garden State Discovery Museum and the grand openings at Kid Fit (located behind the Museum at 2040 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill) and Paws Discovery Farm (1105 Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Road, Mt. Laurel) from March 3-5, the group announced.

Over the past year, the Garden State Discovery Museum partnered with local kid's fitness expert, Brian Hurley, to create its latest and greatest expansion, a 4400 square foot gym called Kid Fit.

Kids can dive into the foam pit, fly on the zip line, race through an obstacle course, or tumble from head to toe in the new state of the art facility. Kid Fit features kid's fitness classes, open play, field trips, scout events, and birthday parties for children of all ages.

Simultaneously, the Garden State Discovery Museum has worked with Mount Laurel Township to assume the management of Paws Farm and Nature Center as of Jan. 1, and will be reopening the facility on March 1, after renovations.

Paws Discovery Farm provides a unique learning experience for adults and children offering indoor and outdoor adventure opportunities, scheduled classes and story hours, animal programs and birthday parties, as well as special events throughout the year.

All visitors enjoy and learn from many interactive exhibits and more than 9 acres of farmland with over 100 animals to meet and greet.

Guests can explore nature trails, enjoy award-winning gardens, and learn about live animals, local wildlife, and more.

Visitors can hike the nature trail filled with local history, visit the barnyard animals, explore the various play structures, and test imaginations in our hands-on, minds-on Discovery Barn.

With spacious picnic areas and even an enchanting butterfly garden, farm-goers will appreciate the outdoors even more.

Get up close and personal with pigs, tortoises, hedgehogs, and other small woodland animals that can be seen at the farm.

There is a fascinating petting zoo where families are encouraged to interact as well as experience live animal shows. Guests will love the live performances with the renowned Discovery Farm Theatre Players.

The Grand Opening festivities will include raffles, prizes, membership discounts, and more. A two-day pass to all locations will be offered.
