House Fire Kills Dog In Camden County: Officials

No people were hurt in the blaze, which remains under investigation.

PENNSAUKEN, NJ — A house fire that killed a Pennsauken family's dog is under investigation, officials said.

Authorities responded to the all-hands fire Sunday afternoon on the 4100 block of Drexel Avenue. Photos from the scene show flames emerging from the side of the home, toward the rear.

The blaze was extinguished, but it left the home with significant damage.

No people were hurt, but the residents lost their "beloved" dog, according to the Pennsauken Fire Department. The Pennsauken Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.

The Cherry Hill, Collingswood and Merchantville fire departments also assisted.
