Downed Wires Close Part Of Church Road In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A stretch of Church Road in Cherry Hill is closed Wednesday because of downed wires, officials said.

Church Road is closed between Lincoln Avenue and Wilson Road — a residential block of the lengthy roadway — as of late Wednesday afternoon.

"Please avoid the area for the next few hours if heading this way," the Cherry Hill Fire Police said at about 4 p.m.

It wasn't immediately clear what brought down the wires.

Cherry Hill Fire Police is a volunteer organization that assists the township's police and fire departments.
