Man Fell Unconscious Before Death On N.J. Highway In South Jersey

A driver died on the New Jersey Turnpike, police said. Story developing.

A New Jersey man died Tuesday after he suffered a medical emergency and fell unconscious while he was traveling on a major N.J. highway.

He and his car ended up sitting against a guardrail on the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.

Mostafa Morsy, 51, of Cherry Hill was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday night after he suffered the medical emergency, police said.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike near mile post 50.8, police said.

Police said they're not sure how Morsy's Mazda 6 ended up against the guardrail and what sort of medical emergency he experienced.

No other cars were involved, State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez told Patch.
