Elderly Cyclist Killed In Cherry Hill Crash: Police

The 76-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital, authorities said.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — An elderly cyclist died from his injuries following a Monday night crash in Cherry Hill, police said.

The collision occurred at about 9:15 p.m. on Route 70 westbound by Cuthbert Boulevard. A vehicle struck a bicyclist moving in the same direction, while both were in the right lane, according to Cherry Hill Police Lt. Thomas Leone.

The driver stayed at the scene and called for emergency assistance. The cyclist — a 76-year-old man — was transported to Cooper Hospital and has since succumbed to his injuries, Leone said.

Police haven't publicly identified anyone involved.
