Election Day 2016 Results: How Did Camden County Vote In The Presidential Election?

Donald Trump won the presidency, but Hillary Clinton won New Jersey. Which way did the county go?

Although Donald Trump may be the new president this morning, it isn’t a result of voting in New Jersey.

Democrat Hillary Clinton won New Jersey’s 14 electoral votes with 55 percent of the vote, a total of 1,947,650 votes.

In Camden County, Clinton’s votes nearly doubled that of Trump.

A whopping 186,115 voters turned out for this election, a full 53.52 percent of registered voters in the county, according to unofficial results posted on the county website.

Clinton won 117,308 votes countywide. Trump won just 59.716 votes.

These totals don’t include mail-in or provisional ballots as of Wednesday morning.

Libertarian Gary Johnson came in third with 3,405 votes, followed by 1,854 write-in votes. Green Party candidate Jill Stein collected 1,687 votes. No other candidate earned more than 100 votes.

It’s no surprise how Camden County voted. The county is known as a majority Democratic county, and Democrats swept the county races Tuesday night.
