Ex-Bancroft CFO Appointed To Same Position At Rider
James Hartman, of West Depford, is the former chief financial officer at Bancroft Neurohealth in Cherry Hill.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - A certified public accountant from West Deptford has been appointed the new vice president for finance/treasurer and chief financial officer at Rider University, the university announced on Monday.
Hartman most recently served as the chief financial officer and treasurer at Bancroft Neurohealth in Cherry Hill. He joined the university in January, and was appointed to his new position following an extensive nationwide search, according to university officials.
“I’m very grateful to receive such a warm welcome to this wonderful institution, and I feel extremely fortunate to be in a position to make a meaningful contribution to the continued success of Rider University,” Hartman said.

At Bancroft, he led all accounting and financial operations, treasury, budget, billing, contracting, payroll, facilities and construction management, security, insurance, and purchasing. The $160 million nonprofit consists of three schools, campus and community residential facilities, day and vocational programs, and outpatient rehabilitation centers for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
Prior to his role at Bancroft, Hartman served as vice president for finance and chief financial officer at Philadelphia University (now known as Jefferson University), where he oversaw general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, student financial services, treasury, budget, grant finance, risk management, and auxiliary services for this $130 million private university.

He also previously held financial leadership roles in health care institutions across the region, including Cooper University Health Care, Temple University Health System, and University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Dell'Omo said. "I am confident Jim will work collaboratively with our community in crafting and executing this vision."
Hartman earned his bachelor’s in accounting from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and his master’s in business administration in finance from Philadelphia University. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and the National and Eastern Associations of College and University Business Officers.
