Caught With 400 Grams Of Fentanyl, Camden Man Pleads Guilty

CAMDEN CITY, NJ — A Camden City man with four prior felony convictions pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in 2020, the U.S. Attorney General's office said.

A search of 30-year-old Tyquan Burrell's home led to the discovery of 2,521 wax folds, three sandwich-sized clear plastic bags containing more than 300 grams of fentanyl, approximately $34,000 in U.S. currency and a loaded handgun, according to authorities. On the same day of the search, Burrell was arrested while in possession of 418 wax folds containing fentanyl, according to authorities.

Burrell faces the possibility of life in prison and more than $10 million in fines when he is sentenced in September, the U.S. Attorney General said.
