Police have withheld the names of all involved, pending notifications and further investigation.

The initial investigation revealed that a gray Subaru Impreza was traveling westbound. As it approached the intersection, a white Honda Pilot was moving eastbound and abruptly tried making a left turn onto Johnson Road, police said. The abrupt turn in front of the Subaru caused a head-on crash, according to law enforcement.

The Gloucester Township Police Department (GTPD) said the following:

"As a reminder, all occupants of a motor vehicle should ensure they wear seat belts at all times to reduce the likelihood of death or serious bodily injury resulting from a crash. Also, it is imperative to take your time when making turning movements to ensure the area is clear before turning."
