FIRE COMMISSIONER CANDIDATE BIOGRAPHIES
MEMBER OF BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS
THREE YEARS – VOTE FOR TWO
RYAN DORAN - Graduated from the IBEW Local Union 351 electrical apprenticeship in 2017. Currently, he is employed as an electrical foreman and a union electrician for over ten years. He has been a Board member of the Camden County Planning Board since 2017, a Workforce Development board member since 2018, and a NJYD Labor Caucus Chairman since 2016. He spends countless hours every year helping labor candidates across the State.

DAVID GORENBERG – He and his wife have lived in Cherry Hill for over 30 years and raised three children here, all of whom went to Cherry Hill Public Schools. He received his undergraduate degree from Rider University, and law degree from Widener University School of Law, cum laude. He also earned a Six Sigma Green Belt from Rutgers University, and a Certificate in Leadership and Management from Temple University. While practicing law in South Jersey for nearly a decade, his practice included business and real estate transactional work. He then transitioned to financial and professional services, and over the past twenty-plus years has developed expertise in financial, professional, tax, and advisory services, with specific experience in planning and managing budgets, capital needs, staffing, and forecasting goals. During this time, he has led and mentored diverse teams, and developed a talent for collaborating across job functions, as well as vertically within the business hierarchy. His past employment includes Fortune 15 and Fortune 500 companies that recruited him to build new businesses, including the creation of business procedures, legal documentation, and compliance, risk, and audit issues. He has been a volunteer firefighter, with over 16 years of experience. Presently, he is an active member of the Deer Park Fire Company of the CHFD. He also has 18 years of experience as an EMT, including service as a Lieutenant and Driver Training Officer, and spent part of his career with Cherry Hill Emergency Medical Services before it was merged into CHFD. He has served on the Board of Directors of multiple professional associations, including a term as President of a national trade association. His service on these boards has included strategic planning, budgeting, training/education, and compliance matters. He was a volunteer baseball coach at CHYAA for 15 years, and a volunteer basketball coach with the Cherry Hill Department of Recreation for 10 years. He remains an active “Band Parent” with the Cherry Hill High School East Marching Band and Color Guard, where he has volunteered for the past 16 years.
SARA LIPSETT – has been on the Board of Fire Commissioners since 2019 currently serving as Chairperson. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and currently works as the Grant Manager for the Camden County Police Department. Sara previously served on the South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Government and Community Affairs from 2017-2020 and was Vice President of Cherry Hill Township Council from 2008-2019. Her community service work includes Commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority since 2020, Cherry Hill Planning Board, Cherry Hill Township Council Liaison from 2008-2013, Cherry Hill Zoning Board member from 2003-2007, PTA Parent, served on the Executive Board for Horace Mann Elementary School, Beck Middle School and Cherry Hill Zone PTA Board from 2005-2019 and was the Treasurer for the Cherry Hill High School East Theater Boosters from 2013-2019.
