The Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) has announced Kathleen Horton as CFO.

The Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) has announced Kathleen Horton as CFO.
“I’m pleased to welcome Kathleen to the executive team,” said Fred Wasiak, President & CEO, Food Bank of South Jersey. “Her strong financial background and experience with nonprofits will be a great asset to the Food Bank as we continue to expand our reach and help more people in need.”
As CFO, Horton will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, reporting, strategically managing accounting and financial products, and overseeing the Information Technology activities for FBSJ.

Since 1990, Horton provided leadership to nonprofit and for-profit companies on the East Coast. She has extensive experience in fiscal procedure and internal control assessment, risk management, reporting and regulatory compliance. Horton co-founded Holisticare Hospice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the mission to provide a higher level of hospice care to the patients served. She was responsible for managing the finance, human resource, information technology and compliance departments and sold the companies in 2018.
A Cinnaminson resident, Horton holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and has an inactive CPA license which will be active in two years. She is a member of the PICPA.
