Freeze Warning, Code Blue Issued For South Jersey: See Details
Bitter cold temperatures could lead to damage to plants and homes.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for South Jersey that goes into effect at midnight.
Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties are all included.
The designation lasts from midnight through 9 a.m. on Wednesday and could lead to dead plants and damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Low temperatures are anticipated to hover between 25 and 30 degrees.
A "Code Blue" alert was also issued for each of the counties, but Salem.

When temperatures fall below freezing and weather could harm unsheltered individuals, a group of agencies across the state activate resources within their communities.
Under a "Code Blue," county offices of emergency management and municipalities are able to organize shelter and warming sites for residents and those who are homeless.
According to NJ 211, the following areas are observing the designation and have warming centers available:
Burlington County
- Beginning Tuesday at 7 p.m. through Wednesday at 7 a.m.
- Beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. through Thursday at 7 a.m.
Camden County
- Beginning Tuesday at 7 p.m. through Wednesday at 7 a.m.
- Beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. through Thursday at 7 a.m.
Cumberland County
- Beginning Tuesday at 6 p.m. through Wednesday at 6 a.m.
Gloucester County
- Beginning Tuesday at 6 p.m. through Wednesday at 6 a.m.
- Beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. through Thursday at 6 a.m.
