Gas Main Work To Close Road In Cherry Hill Next Week: Officials

A portion of Springdale Road will be closed for three days next week, county officials announced.

CHERRY HILL, NJ - Part of Springdale Road in Cherry Hill will be closed while PSE&G installs a gas main next week, county officials announced. Springdale Road will be closed between Kresson Road and Route 70 from Monday, Jan. 21, through Wednesday, Jan. 23, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

“Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route includes the stretch of Springdale Road where crews are expected to be active,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “Anytime a project requires the closure of a roadway you can expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”

During the closure, Cherry Hill police will be on hand to assist with traffic. A detour route will be announced at a later date. The schedule for the closure depends on weather and other factors.
