General Election Showdowns Set In Haddon Twp., Haddonfield: What To Expect For November
This November, New Jersey will head to the polls again for key races at the local, county and state levels of government.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — With Tuesday's primaries in the books, the general-election season begins for Haddon Township and Haddonfield.
This November, New Jersey will head to the polls again for key races at the local, county and state levels of government. All State Senate and Assembly seats are up for grabs, including those in the 6th Legislative District, which represents Haddon and Haddonfield in the State House.
In the 6th District, the Democratic incumbents — State Sen. James Beach and Assembly Members Louis D. Greenwald and Pamela R. Lampitt — are running for re-election.

The GOP didn't have a State Senate candidate in the 6th District. But Daniel M. Kenny and Danielle M. Barry will represent the party in the Assembly race.
In the Democratic primary for the Board of County Commissioners, the incumbent ticket of Louis Cappelli, Jr. and Jonathan L. Young, Sr. held a commanding lead, as of Thursday, over the South Jersey Progressive Democrats ticket of Kate Delaney and Samuel E. Sweet. Republicans Jason Fanning and Norman C. Rebel, Jr. had an uncontested primary.

At the local level, the primaries in Haddon and Haddonfield were relatively uneventful. Both locales typically hold municipal elections in the spring — Haddon's nonpartisan commissioner election occurred May 9.
School-board races throughout New Jersey will also heat up in the coming months. But the election fields won't take shape until this summer, since school-board candidates around the state have until July 31 to file petitions to get on the ballot. (School-board membership in New Jersey is nonpartisan, so the elections don't have primaries.)
The primary-election results remain unofficial until certified.
