Geno's Steaks Makes South Jersey Debut At Virtual Food Hall

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Fans of Geno's Steaks in South Jersey no longer have to leave the state to get one, or even leave the house at all. The Philadelphia cheesesteak chain has joined a virtual food hall in Cherry Hill, according to a news release from Geno's.

Foodiehall, at 1931 Olney Avenue, offers pickup and delivery from eight different restaurants, all under the same roof. Dan Goldberg created the concept, which opened in February 2022.

The Geno's Steaks at Foodiehall offers several different sandwich options for the traditional thinly-sliced ribeye steak: toppings include cheese whiz, American cheese, provolone, mushrooms, peppers, and raw or fried onions. There is also a Cheesesteak Hoagie, Steak Hoagie, Pizza Steak, and slow cooked Roast Pork.

Foodiehall is closed Mondays, and open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays-Sundays.

Geno Vento, son of Geno's Steaks founder Joey Vento, has a home in Cherry Hill and said he is excited to get going.

"I have a home in Cherry Hill, and I followed Foodiehall’s launch last year,” said Vento. “I’m really impressed with what Dan and his entire team have accomplished in the short time that they’ve been operating. We receive lots of requests to deliver our cheesesteaks outside of the Philadelphia area, so we’re really happy we can now offer our cheesesteaks and roast pork sandwiches to South Jersey residents by being a part of this concept."

Goldberg said Foodiehall is "super excited" to bring the Geno's brand to South Jersey.

“Geno’s Steaks has been a beloved Philadelphia institution for more than 50 years, and since we were looking to add a cheesesteak concept to our repertoire, we knew this was the right move,” said Goldberg. “We’ve been discussing this partnership with Geno for some time now, and it’s been really incredible to learn about all that goes into creating his delicious sandwiches."

The other restaurants in Foodiehall are Criss Crust (pizza), DaNick's Craft Burgers, Simply Fowl (chicken sandwiches and sides), Mac N Toast (grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese), Dando Tacos, Canting Wok and Noodle Bar, and Fornire Italian Kitchen.

For each meal sold, Foodiehall donates a meal to someone in need through Feeding America.

“When you support Feeding America. you help their nationwide networks including school-based food pantries, emergency disaster relief, and more,” said Goldberg. “And adding a brand as popular as Geno’s will not only make local cheesesteak and roast pork lovers happy, but it means that more meals will be donated to those in need, which we couldn’t be happier about.”
