Hematologist/Oncologist Joins Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center

Hematologist/Oncologist Cassandra Leigh Thomas, MD, recently joined the medical staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.

Dr. Thomas comes to Lourdes from working in private practice in Delaware. Prior to that, she served as a hospitalist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Thomas performed a fellowship in hematology/medical oncology as well as her residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where she was named the recipient of the Irwin Gelernt, MD Service Award. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Board-certified in hematology and internal medicine, Dr. Thomas has presented her research at regional conferences. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
