Cherry Hill Schools Second In Camden County In Latest Rankings

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Public School District is ranked 71st in the state in data compiler Niche's latest rankings. Niche released its rankings for the 2019-2020 school year on Monday as part of the website's 2020 K-12 rankings.

Each New Jersey district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.

Cherry Hill received an overall grade of A. It received an A+ for college prep; an A for academics; an A- for teachers, clubs & activities and diversity; and a B+ for health & safety. It is the second highest ranked district in Camden County, behind Haddonfield.

According to Niche, Cherry Hill has 11,171 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 50 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 64 percent in reading.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

According to Niche, the Glenbrook High Schools District 225 in Illinois is the best school district in the country overall.

With an overall Niche grade of A+, the district received a grade of A+ in academics, teachers, clubs and activities, college prep and health and safety. In the category of diversity, Niche awarded the school district a B.
