Hybrid Learning Delay Topic Of Cherry Hill Schools' Town Hall

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Public School District will hold a virtual town hall to discuss the events of the last week as it attempts to move to a hybrid learning environment amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The town hall will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday night, the district announced on Friday. Members of the community will have the chance to ask questions about the decision-making process, safety and execution of the hybrid learning model.

Members of the panel will include Cherry Hill Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joseph Meloche, Board of Education President Lisa Seidel, Board of Education Vice President Laurie Neary, District Lead Nurse and Beck Middle School Nurse Barbara Kase-Avner, CHEA President Steve Redfearn, and Carusi Middle School Principal Dr. Neil Burti. Additional panelists may be added.

The panel will first address questions submitted in advance and will then answer questions from participants. Participants can submit questions online at chclc.org. The district will post a link to the virtual meeting on Monday.

The school district is scheduled to implement its hybrid learning plan on Tuesday after postponing it last week. More than three dozen students were diagnosed with the coronavirus last week.
