Italian Retail Store Opens In Cherry Hill Mall
Intimissimi has opened one of its first location in the United States in South Jersey on Thursday.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — An Italy-based clothing retailer opened one of its first stores in the country in South Jersey on Thursday. Intimissimi, which is owned by the Calzedonia group,opened in the Cherry Hill Mall on Thursday, March 1, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) announced. It sells intimate apparel, swimwear, stockings and clothing.
Popular in Europe, the international Italian brand, which offers styles a bit more elevated than Victoria's Secret at a similar price is not well-known in America. Intimissimi plans to open 20 more stores on the East Coast, before starting an expansion to the West Coast.
“Cherry Hill Mall is proud to be selected as one the brand’s first US locations to open in 2018,” Cherry Hill Mall Senior Marketing Director Lisa Wolstromer said. “We are looking forward to having this iconic European retailer at our center. We’re proud to incorporate this world renowned retailer into our retail mix. Intimissimi, is a fashion forward brand and an ideal addition to Cherry Hill Mall’s shopping experience.”

Founded in 1966, Intimissimi is known for its “made in Italy” lingerie. The brand launched Intimissimi Uomo, underwear for men, three years ago. The lingerie brand is part of the Calzedonia S.p.A. Group and is available in 40 countries with more than 1,300 stores. It opened in the mall in the space formerly occupied by LUSH, which relocated and expanded into a new prototype concept before the holidays, PREIT previously announced.
Earlier this year, international fashion retailer Zara opened in the Cherry Hill Mall, between Macy’s and Nordstrom. Zara offers apparel and accessories for men, women and children.
