Knife Brandished During Robbery Attempt At Cherry Hill Wawa: Police
The suspect fled the scene, but police say they caught him across the street.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Police apprehended a man who brandished a knife while trying to rob a Wawa store Wednesday morning in Cherry Hill.
The incident occurred at 4:39 a.m. at the 2428 Route 38 store, by the mall. The man attempted to steal from the retailer and then took out a knife, Cherry Hill police told Patch.
He fled the scene, but police caught him across Route 38 near Church Road, according to Cherry Hill Police Lt. Tom Leone.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police withheld the suspect's name Wednesday morning but identified him as a 47-year-old Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, resident.
The Wawa store is open as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
