LIFE at Lourdes Participant Featured in New Book About Centenarians

Camden resident and Jamaican native Anne Scott, a participant at LIFE at Lourdes—a unique

program based in Pennsauken that assists elders to live safely at home while providing them

with a team of healthcare experts—is one of 50 centenarians featured in a new book recently

published called, “If I Live to Be 100: The Wisdom of Centenarians,” by Paul Mobley.

The book is a collection of intimate portraits, quotes, and personal stories of Americans who

have lived to be 100. There are more than 70,000 centenarians in the U.S. The book is a tribute to centenarians, and celebrates the insight, wisdom, and inspiration they offer to all.

Scott, who is 101-years-old, shares a favorite poem in the book, which talks about living life—

past, present and future. She enjoys writing poetry, sewing, birdwatching and partaking in faith-

based activities.
