PUERTO RICAN UNITY FOR PROGRESS THREE KINGS DAY CELEBRATION
MONDAY JANUARY 6, 2014
Camden, NJ, January 6, 2014 – Puerto Rican Unity for Progress will be having a Three Kings Day celebration on January 6, 2014 at its headquarters located at 818 Broadway in Camden from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This celebration recognizes the Hispanic holiday tradition of the Epiphany. Traditionally, this day is very important, especially for the children, for this is the eve when they receive their gifts. In order to make this holiday a memorable one for the community of Camden, three volunteers will dress as the kings and give toys and gifts to the children.
The three kings will be distributing toys provided by EAST IN ACTION (Cherry Hill High School East) and PRUP (a relationship established by Lighthouse Hospice of Cherry Hill). The children will participate in games and activities at this celebration, and the families will enjoy a meal together to celebrate this occasion.
The families that are invited to attend this celebration are low-income families from the City of Camden, NJ.
