We got the children of staff members together to pack the backpacks for our Operation Backpack 2013. We packed over 120 backpacks with school supplies for both the Puerto Rican Unity for Progress and the Catholic Charities of Camden, NJ. We had 16 Youth attend.
We have collected donations from our staff members at Lighthouse Hospice and Lighthouse Hospice Equipment Company, Needleman Management Company - our property managers, HUB International - our insurance brokers, Burlington Press - our design and web people, Miles Technologies - our IT people, Ancero, New Jersey Citizen Action, and several tenants in the 1040 building on King's Highway.
Then - when all of the hard work was done - the kids built an Ice Cream Gutter Sundae!!! A welcome THANK YOU! The rest, well, the rest is HISTORY!
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to everyone who participated; from the donors listed, to the Finance Pillar who planned and ran the event, to all of the staff and their children. Working together to meet the needs of the community is the corporate social responsibility of all businesses and we are happy to work together with those in our "supply chain" to do good where we may!!!
