Little League President Stole $47K Of South Jersey Org's Money: Police

He pocketed the money over multiple years while withholding account records from fellow board members, authorities said.

VINELAND, NJ — A Little League baseball president in South Jersey was charged with theft after he stole nearly $50,000 of the organization's money over the years, police said Wednesday.

Jose L. Ramos spent $47,647.53 of the South Vineland Little League's money on personal expenses since 2018, authorities said. He became the SVLL board's acting president a year prior.

As board leader, Ramos withheld access of the account records and bank statements from the rest of the board, police said. Once full access was provided, a fellow board member conducted an audit and discovered how much money Ramos had stolen, according to law enforcement.
