Man Dead In Early-Morning Shooting Sunday: Camden County Officials

Camden County Police seek a suspect in a shooting Sunday morning that fatally injured a 38-year-old man.

CAMDEN, NJ — Officers seek a suspect in the shooting death of a man in Camden on Sunday morning, according to the Camden County Police Department.

County officers responded to the 1500 block of Pershing Street in Camden at 4:15 a.m. for a shooting, said Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez in a news release. A 38-year-old man, Dwayne Adkins of Camden City, had been shot and first responders took him to Cooper University Medical Center, said officials.

Medical officials pronounced him dead at 5:09 a.m., officials said.
