Baby Penguin At NJ Adventure Aquarium Gets Her Name

CAMDEN, NJ — The newest addition to the penguin family at Adventure Aquarium has a name.

Meet Adelaide, a little blue penguin (and the one on the right in the picture, in case you cannot tell) who was born on Feb. 24, the staff at the aquarium says.

She got her name via vote held on the aquarium's Facebook page, we're told. Her proud parents are Sheila and Phillip, and her older sisters are Fairy and Pixie, we're also told.

Web page visitors were allowed to choose from the name Brinsea, Adelaide, Victoria and Skye ... and obviously, Adelaide was the winning name.

The naming contest also raised $1,129 for Adventure Aquarium ACTS, a fund that support conservation efforts, the aquarium says.
