'Ninja Warrior'-Style Gym Opening In Moorestown

The Ninja Fitness Zone's grand-opening celebration will feature guests from 'American Ninja Warrior.'

MOORESTOWN, NJ — South Jersey's current and future ninja — plus those who want to train like one — have a new place to get fit. The Ninja Fitness Zone is launching soon in Moorestown.

Ninja-style obstacle courses have become familiar through TV programs such as "American Ninja Warrior" and "Sasuke" — the Japanese series that inspired the American show.

Starting this week, the gym will hold open-gym sessions from 7-9 p.m. Fridays for $20 per person. The grand opening is set for 7-9 p.m. June 2 and will feature guests from "American Ninja Warrior."

Marc Schneider, who owns The Ninja Fitness Zone, has already brought a bit of that to Burlington County, running the Obstacle Warriors program at Will-Moor Gymnastics in Mount Laurel. The program will move to the Moorestown gym.

"Ninja training parallels life; there will always be obstacles in the way but overcoming them is what the sport of Ninja is all about," Schneider said in a statement published in The Sun Newspapers. "At the Ninja Fitness Zone, we will inspire our athletes and teach them that failure is part of the process of growth."

Schneider will coach alongside his daughter and former gymnast, Madison. The Ninja Fitness Zone will offer several training programs, including Ninja Tots (starting at age 3), Ninja Fit (starting at age 6) and the Advanced Ninja Teen program for kids and teens looking to train and compete. The gym will also have adult beginner-to-ninja classes in the evenings.

The Ninja Fitness Zone is located at 605 Glen Ave.
