Nor'easter Prompts School Closure at 5, Events Rescheduled

The entire Cherry Hill school district will shut down at 5 p.m., over concerns about effects of a nor'easter expected to make evening travel dangerous, school officials announced.

The closure means all events Friday—including the West girls Central A quarterfinal swim meet at Camden County Tech and East's sophomore cotillion—are canceled. Late buses at all schools have been canceled, as well.

The West swim meet has already been rescheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. at Camden County Tech. East's cotillion has been moved to Saturday.

Saturday events will not be affected by the storm, school officials said. East and West will both open at 10 a.m. Saturday for regularly scheduled events at each school.
