Olympian Will Help South Jersey Tackle 1 Of Its "Serious Issues," Official Says
The event includes comments from motivational speaker Joetta Clark Diggs.

CAMDEN, NJ — Camden County is getting help from Olympic athlete and New Jersey native Joetta Clarke Diggs in its efforts to make its residents as healthy as possible.
That's because she, along with other South Jersey dignitaries, will be a part of the Family Fun & Fitness Day that the public is invited to attend that is taking place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Camden Athletic Fields, the county said.
The festival will include the opportunity to warm up and work out with Diggs and have tables with vendors, giveaways, music and more, according to the county.

The festival is the second part of an initiative roughly three weeks ago with Horizon Foundation of New Jersey awarding the city of Camden a $100,000 grant that will be put towards improving the health and welfare of youth and families in the city, the county said.
"As someone who has dedicated more than two decades of their life focused on youth athletics, I’m confident that this funding will be a game changer and will greatly benefit," Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer told Patch.

"Putting our attention and funds towards addressing serious issues in the city, such as obesity, will allow us to create and happier and healthier future for our residents," Dyer continued.
