Over 6K Still Without Power In Camden County Thursday
Camden County continues to dig out following the storm that hit New Jersey on Thursday.

Over 6,000 Camden County residents remained without power Thursday morning in the wake of a storm that devastated New Jersey. Most outages have been reported in the southern portion of the county, with Waterford Township and Pine Hill Borough having the majority of them, county officials said Thursday morning.

All branches of the Camden County Library System will open at noon, and all county offices and agencies will be operating on a normal schedule. The Cherry Hill Mall was open on Thursday after closing early during the storm on Wednesday. Public Works crews are continuing their snow and tree operations to clear all county roads.

“Our crews have gotten most roads in good condition and we are now concentrating on removing downed limbs and trees. We have had a tree crew and a wood chipper on the road since the beginning of the storm,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works said. “Due to the heavy, wet snow combined with wind gusts, we have residents without power across Camden County.”

- As of 7:16 a.m., there's Weather related on the Ben Franklin Bridge in both directions from New Jersey Side in Camden to Pennsylvania Side in Philadelphia THE PEDESTRIAN FOOTWALKS WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
- As of 9:37 a.m., there's Construction on NJ 73 in both directions US 130 in Pennsauken Twp. 1 lane may be closed until 3:00 P.M.
- As of 12:06 p.m., there's Construction on I-76 in both directions between Exit 1A - NJ 42/I-295 in Bellmawr and Exit 1C - CR 634/Market St in Gloucester City. Traffic shift until 11:59 P.M. on August 29, 2019, use caution.
- As of 12:06 p.m., there's Construction on I-295 in both directions between Exit 26N - I-76/I-676 and Exit 28 - NJ 168/Black Horse Pike in Bellmawr. Traffic shift until 11:59 P.M. on February 07, 2020, use caution.
- As of 12:05 p.m., there's Construction on NJ 168 in both directions between South of CR 650/Newtown Creek in Audubon Park and US 130 in Haddon Twp. Traffic shift until 11:59 P.M. on March 8, 2018, use caution.
The most snow in Camden County fell in Cherry Hill, which saw 8.5 inches of snow on Wednesday. Here's a list of snow totals recorded by the National Weather Service in Camden County on Wednesday:

The Camden County Freeholder Board offers assistance to senior citizens and disabled residents who are unable to remove significant amounts of snow accumulation from their properties.
“The snow removal program is available to help seniors and disabled individuals get out of their homes for necessities such as prescriptions or medical appointments,” said Freeholder Jonathan Young, liaison to the Camden County Department of Corrections. “The program uses Camden County Jail inmates who are carefully screened, non-violent offenders who are guarded at all times on the job site by corrections officers.”
- The Snow Removal Program goes into effect only after 4 inches of snow has fallen on the ground in the area.
- At-risk senior and disabled residents can contact the Camden County Division of Emergency Management at 856-783-4808 ext. 5060, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
- Calls for snow removal will not be taken until after it has stopped snowing.
- The work crews will remove snow only during daylight hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Crews will respond to calls in the order they are received and will service as many residents as possible each day. There are no guaranteed times when the crews will arrive at a residence.
- Senior and Disabled residents must call after each substantial snowfall to request this service.
The Department of Corrections will supply the needed equipment. The program does not supply salt or ice-melting chemicals, but crews will dispense them if supplied by residents. Contact and conversation between the inmates and the public are prohibited. Gratuities and gifts or money, food, drink or any other item is strictly prohibited.
