Paving On Hampton Road In Cherry Hill Set For Monday

A portion of Hampton Road will be closed during road work on Monday, Aug. 5.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) crews will pave the intersection of Hampton Road and Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill on Monday, Aug. 5, Camden County officials announced on Friday.

As a result, Hampton Road will be completely closed between Chapel Avenue and Cuthbert Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drivers will be directed to follow a posted detour route using Cuthbert Boulevard and Route 38 to circumvent the construction zone.

“This is a heavily trafficked area, so please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route involves any of the affected roadways,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “As with all road closures, motorists can expect the project to cause sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”
