Phillies Pitcher-Turned-Winemaker Bringing Wines To Cherry Hill
Retired pitcher Joe Blanton, a member of the 2008 World Series-winning team, will headline a private dinner at a local restaurant.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Phillies pitcher-turned-winemaker will headline an event at a Cherry Hill restaurant.
Caffe Aldo Lamberti is hosting a private dinner with Joe Blanton — a member of the 2008 World Series-winning team. After retiring from baseball, Blanton founded Selah Wines with his wife, LeeAndra.
Blanton's interest in wine was sparked by team dinners with the Oakland Athletics, where he began his Major League career. He continued pursuing his passion after the Phillies acquired him in a 2008 trade. Between road games, Blanton immersed himself in wine books and tastings with likeminded teammates, according to Selah Wines.
