Ramen Eatery Holds Contest In Cherry Hill Involving Its Spiciest Dish

If you think you can tackle a bowl of really spicy ramen, then check this contest out.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Think you can tackle a bowl of really spicy ramen? Then Kyrumen in Cherry Hill has got a contest for you.

Enter the contest by entering Kyrumen at 1871 State Route 70 and ordering a bowl of the restaurant's spicy ramen between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Then, enjoy the dish from one of the seats inside their restaurant.

Oh, and by the way, you have to slurp every drop of broth and eat every morsel of ramen, pork chashu, bamboo shoot, wakame, egg, nori, corn and scallion that comes with the dish in fewer than nine minutes to win.

Without a beverage to help you wash it down.

You don't get a second more than nine minutes to finish the bowl of spicy ramen. Kudos to you (and your stomach) if you can finish it faster than that.

Those who finish the bowl in the time allotted get that bowl of spicy ramen for free. They also get one free bowl of ramen for a week. (And a lot of praise, perhaps.)

At last check, 11 people had entered the contest at Kyrumen's Cherry Hill location.

Five had won and are in the restaurant's Hall of Fame, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. The other six, well, they tried and are in the restaurant's Hall of Shame.

The contest runs until Wednesday, so don't delay.
