Road Work To Slow Traffic On 561 In Cherry Hill: Police

Work begins Thursday and will continue through next week.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction on Route 561 at Morris Drive from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Thursday, Cherry Hill police announced on Wednesday. It is part of the ongoing road improvement project, according to Camden County officials.

“Traffic will continue moving in both directions, but the lane closures are likely to cause delays and congestion in and around the work area,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “We continue to thank the public for its patience as we undergo this major renovation to improve the drivability and traffic flow of this major county highway.”

The traffic pattern will be in place from Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 13, weather dependent. Drivers should pay attention and stay alert when traveling through work zones.
