Ross Stores Eye Former Cherry Hill Toys R Us Site: Report

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Two new stores will reportedly open soon at the site of the former Toys R Us in Cherry Hill.

A California-based company plans to bring Ross Dress for Less and dd’s Discounts to the shopping center off Route 38 and Cuthbert Boulevard, the Courier Post reports. No timeline was set for the openings.

A spokesperson for Ross wasn't immediately available for comment to Patch Tuesday morning.

Ross opened in 1982, and prides itself on selling high quality brands at bargain prices. It has stores in Voorhees, Moorestown and Cinnaminson, among other locations in New Jersey, according to its website.

Dd’s Discounts is part of the Ross family of stores and opened in 2004, according to its website. It also offers quality merchandise at bargain prices, and is heavily involved in communities in which it opens, including participation with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

The site of the former Cherry Hill Toys R Us store has remained vacant since it closed in 2018. It was one of 735 U.S. stores that closed after the former retail giant declare bankruptcy. Toys R Us reopened a store in Paramus in the fall.
