Route 70, I-295 Ramps To Close For Roadwork In Cherry Hill

The closures will impact travel on 2 major highways in the township.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Several highway-connecting ramps in Cherry Hill will be shut down in the near future for state roadwork.

The NJ Department of Transportation's work will impact traffic on Route 70 and Interstate 295 — especially around the cloverleaf interchange that connects both roadways.

Closures will run from Friday night through Sunday morning on two different weekends.

Here's the schedule:

  • May 31 to June 2: The on-ramp from Route 70 East onto I-295 South will be closed from 10 p.m. May 31 until the morning of June 2. During that time, the exit ramp from I-295 North onto Route 70 East will also be closed.
  • June 7-9: From 10 p.m. June 7 to the morning of June 9, the exit from Route 70 East onto I-295 North will be closed. The exit ramp from I-295 South onto Route 70 East will also be shut down during that time.

"If you plan on traveling in those directions during those weekends, be prepared to follow detours or take an alternate route," the township advised.
