Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Names Top Golf Tournament Sponsor
The Richardson Family Dealerships Named Top Sponsor for Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice's Drive FORE! A Good Cause Annual Golf Tournament
The Richardson Family Dealerships have been named title sponsor of the 2019 Drive FORE! A Good Cause, the Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Annual Golf Tournament. This year’s 18-hole scramble- format tournament, will be held on Monday, June 24 at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton.
“The Richardson Family Dealerships have been proud supporters of Drive FORE! A Good Cause for eight years,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, president/CEO of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. “Their continued support helps Samaritan offer additional supportive services to patients and families at a very vulnerable time that would not otherwise be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance. On behalf of all those we serve, we thank Jim and Shirley Richardson and The Richardson Family Dealerships for their generosity.”
Samaritan’s annual golf tournament has two important goals: to raise funds and to raise awareness. The event features hole-in-one contests to win luxury automobiles and other prizes along with mulligans, 50/50 raffles, and various individual and foursome awards. An online auction allows golfers at the tournament, as well as those who are not able to attend, to bid on a variety of noteworthy items. Proceeds from the event support Samaritan’s direct care in the South Jersey community to help people to live each day fully and with comfort, support, and dignity, even as they cope with issues of aging, serious illness, and grief.

About Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice:
Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, independent organization locally founded in Moorestown, New Jersey in 1980. Samaritan is the regional leader for hospice care, palliative medicine, grief support and counseling, end-of-life education, and advocacy. Samaritan serves people in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer counties who are coping with the stresses of aging, serious illness or grief in their homes, assisted-living, or nursing home communities and through two inpatient hospice centers: The Samaritan Center at Mt. Holly and The Samaritan Center at Voorhees.
Samaritan is accredited by The Joint Commission; a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO); the Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey; and is a four-star-level hospice in NHPCO’s We Honor Veterans program, created in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
In addition to hospice services covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers, Samaritan’s Family of Services also provides nearly $1 million each year in essential, yet non-reimbursed, services through generous community support. For more information, visit www.SamaritanNJ.org.
