School Bus Catches Fire In Cherry Hill

Only the driver was aboard during the fire.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A fire damaged a small school bus Monday afternoon in Cherry Hill.

The bus caught fire around 4:10 p.m. by Route 70 West and Cuthbert Boulevard. Only the driver was aboard, said Cherry Hill Police Cpt. Sheldon Bryant.

Cherry Hill firefighters extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.

The damaged bus was towed from the shoulder of the roadway, where the driver had pulled it over.

"We are grateful for the swift and coordinated response by the Cherry Hill Fire Department, whose actions helped ensure the situation was brought under control safely and without injury," Bryant said.
