South Jersey Icon Debuts New Brand with $5 Million Renovation
Playdrome of Cherry Hill, a more than 50-year old South Jersey icon for family entertainment and bowling reveals new brand Nov. 16.
Cherry Hill, NJ – Playdrome of Cherry Hill, a more than 50-year old South Jersey icon for family entertainment and bowling is being revealed November 16 as The Big Event Entertainment Experience featuring “Entertainment Right Up Your Alley.”
The Big Event ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening event November 16 will feature local and regional officials, area school leaders as well as current and former clients.
The Big Event president and owner Jon Perper has taken what his father founded in the late 1950s and transformed Playdrome into what people in South Jersey and Philadelphia region want: a place where families, friends, schools groups and businesses can enjoy a variety of entertainment experiences – all under one roof.
Designed with a mid-century modern ‘retro’ feel with today’s flair for style and comfort, The Big Event features 26 traditional bowling lanes plus VIP Memory Lanes Suite Bowling, Billiards and Game Mania Arcade. The newly outfitted Cafe at The Big Event features dining fit for a king or queen pin. Renovated spaces at The Big Event can accommodate private birthday, anniversary and wedding parties, corporate events or meetings, non-profit organization gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds expertly coordinated by Maggie Parker, Events Experience Director at The Big Event.
“Our guests can spend their prime time enjoying the best entertainment experience with family and friends any day or night of the week,” says The Big Event president and owner Jon Perper. “During our two-year renovation, we have incorporated many fun activities people of all ages have told us they enjoy in their free time – from the newest and best arcade games for all our guests to our billiards rooms with top-of-the-line tables, with wait-staff to make your time with us even more enjoyable,” he adds.
The Big Event Entertainment Experience includes:
• The VIP Memory Lanes: a 10-lane suite for private, corporate and group events featuring bowling, comfortable and plush couches, chairs and tables to create a supreme social event.
• Game Mania: a 5000 square foot arcade where children and adults of all ages compete at the latest video games, rock or sticky wall, crane play and more - with prizes available.
• Billiards: Six (6) Brunswick Crown Tables and two Diamond Pro-Am tables with blue label rails for singles, couples, groups and tournaments; open daily 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.
• The Big Event Cafe: with trendy menu selections including tasty choices for children and gluten-free guests; catering services available for events and parties.
The Big Event Entertainment Experience (formerly Playdrome) is a 43,000 square foot entertainment and dining venue located at 1536 North Kings Highway (Rte 41), Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
