Sports Authority to Close Cherry Hill Store
It is one of 5 in New Jersey and 140 nationwide slated to close after the business declared bankruptcy.
Cherry Hill, NJ -- The Sports Authority store in Cherry Hill is one of five New Jersey locations slated to be closed, nj.com reports.
Sports Authority employees at stores in Cherry Hill, East Brunswick, Piscataway, Wayne and Manalapan were notified of the closures on Feb. 10, according to the report.
It wasn’t immediately known how many people would be affected by the closures, but customers would remain unaffected, according to the report. There would be no impact on gift cards, exchanges or warranties.

The Colorado-based sporting goods chain is more than $1 billion in debt, and will close 140 of its 163 stores in the next few months, according to the report. It was once the top sporting goods chain, but has fallen to fourth place.
The Sports Authority in Cherry Hill is located in the Hillview Shopping Center, 2139 Route 38. Nearby locations including 70 Centerton Road in Mount Laurel and 4315 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing, according to sportsauthority.com.
