Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living Celebrates National Assisted Living Week

"Nourishing Life: Mind, Body, Spirit, Sunday September 13 to Saturday, September 19, 2015

Everyone’s mind, body and spirit deserves to be nourished, especially those seniors residing in Assisted Living. This year, National Assisted Living Week (NALW) is doing just that and so is Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living. To be celebrated from Sunday, September 13 – Saturday, September 19, 2015, Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living has designed a week filled with activities that focus on this year’s NALW theme: Nourishing Life: Mind, Body, Spirit.

When Spring Hills learned of the theme for this year’s NALW, Rachel Helfand, Executive Assistant of Program Development & Training for Spring Hills Senior Communities, said “This year’s National Assisted Living Week theme, Nourishing Life: Mind, Body, Spirit, fits perfectly with our Signature Touch programming through which we aspire to move the body, intrigue the mind and inspire the spirt.” Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living has a holistic approach to wellness focusing on person-centered care to uncover and develop the unique capabilities and desires of each resident so they continue to thrive and grow as individuals. She continued, “Through Signature Touches, we nourish the mind, body and spirit by creating joyful moments and new experiences of self-growth for our residents.”

Activities during Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living NALW will include a visit from Metropolitan Opera singer John Werner, award-winning, local composer Andrea Green, Spring Hills Got Talent and a Reiki demonstration. There will also be complimentary massages including paraffin hand wax treatments, healthy food demonstrations with an explanation of all of the ways the food will benefit you, a mental triathlon competition, and plenty of entertainment.
