CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill is getting a new thrift store. Savers — a national chain offering secondhand goods — signed a lease to open in the Plaza at Cherry Hill.

Savers has more than 300 locations, including one in Pennsauken. The Cherry Hill store will occupy more than 25,000 square feet in the plaza on 2100 Route 38.

It wasn't immediately clear when Savers will open. But the thrift store will stand among several major changes to the plaza in recent months, including Total Wine & More moving to a new space within the shopping center and nearly doubling in size. With the addition of Savers, the plaza increased to 82 percent occupancy, according to Urban Edge Properties — the real estate-investment trust that owns the shopping center.

"With Savers opening this year and the brand-new Total Wine store fully operational, the Plaza at Cherry Hill is experiencing a terrific revitalization," said Justin Lustig, Urban Edge's vice president of leasing. "Savers brings a great concept and new use to the property that complements our other tenants and will draw shoppers from an even wider radius."
