CAMDEN, NJ — A road project in the city of Camden's south side is scheduled to start Monday, meaning drivers in that area may want to rethink the route they use to get to their destination, Camden County said.

New Jersey American Water will be milling and paving South 36th Street in Camden and from Monday through Thursday, the county said.

Crews will be working on the project from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

The project will necessitate a full road closure of South 36th Street between Federal Street and Westfield Avenue, the county added.

"Since this area is heavily traveled, motorists should plan to take an alternate route ahead of time to avoid potential delays," said Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer.
