U.S. Marshals Conducting Investigation In Cherry Hill Neighborhood
The nature of the active investigation wasn't immediately clear, but you may see an increased police presence in the area.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — U.S. Marshals are conducting an investigation in Cherry Hill, police said Monday afternoon.
The active investigation is taking place in the Erlton South neighborhood, the Cherry Hill Police Department said around 2 p.m. Monday.
Police did not immediately disclose the nature of the investigation or precisely where it was taking place.

"At this time, there are no known threats to public safety," the CHPD said in a statement.
Residents may see an increased policed presence in the area.

The CHPD deferred to the U.S. Marshals Service for additional information. Patch's efforts to contact the federal agency's local district were not immediately successful.
