A man has been arrested in connection with an assault of an Uber passenger from New Jersey last month, according to the victim's attorney.
Major C. Fuller, 56, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person in relation to an incident on Dec. 22, according to nj.com. His bail was set at $10,000.
Joseph Fusco, 31, of Cherry Hill was severely beaten Dec. 22 when he tried to catch a ride from Philly to his home in New Jersey, according to the report. He says he used the ride-sharing app and was picked up by an Uber driver who, upon learning where he wanted to go, refused to take him to his home state.

After asking a second time, Fusco says the driver pulled him from the car and beat him. Fusco's attorney, Matthew Luber, confirmed to nj.com that Fuller was arrested in connection with the assault investigation.
Fusco, 31, is suing Uber, accusing the company of negligence, fraud and misleading statements, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Fusco had hailed an Uber to get back across the Delaware River, he said in a lawsuit filed against the company, and met the Toyota Corolla on Market Street

The attack was caught on surveillance video, according to the report. After the assault, Fusco found a charge for a 28-minute ride on his Uber app, but the company later reimbursed him.
