Vietnamese Sandwich Shop Opening In Cherry Hill

A couple with more than 20 years of restaurant experience in Vietnam has made their dream a reality. The grand opening is this weekend.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — You can call it a sandwich or a hoagie. But for Nghia Nguyen and Nuong Vu, the opening of Vietnamese-sandwich eatery Banh Mi Ngon in Cherry Hill represents their dream come true.

The couple moved to New Jersey with more than 20 years of experience in Vietnam's restaurant industry. They dreamed of opening a Vietnamese hoagie and sandwich shop, and their ambitions will soon become reality.

Banh Mi Ngon will celebrate its grand opening Saturday at 1434 Brace Rd. On opening day, the shop will offer a buy-five-hoagies, get-one-free deal.

When Nghia Nguyen and Nuong Vu came to the Garden State, they temporarily set aside their dream to adjust to their new lives. But the family says the kitchen remained the heart and central gathering place of their home.

We want everything we make to be consistently beautiful, down to the very last detail. Our shop is designed and built to celebrate the creativity and diversity that makes Cherry Hill such a wonderful place to call home."

The shop will be open during the following hours:

  • weekdays: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
