West Girls' Basketball Beats East for Back-to-Back Wins

The Lions get two in a row for the first time all season.

Cherry Hill West’s girls’ basketball team got back-to-back wins for the first time all season and a victory over its cross-town rival all in one shot, beating Cherry Hill East, 37-23 Tuesday night.

The Lions got it done behind the one-two offensive punch of Sasha Williams (12 points) and Libby Dougherty (13 points) and a stingy defense that limited the Cougars to just two points in the first half.

East bounced back in the second half, thanks to Aliyah Goodwin’s 12 points, but the Cougars couldn’t close the gap before the game was out of hand.
