West's MLK Makeup Set as Half Day
The high school will be in for a short session to recover time lost from Superstorm Sandy.

While Cherry Hill West students will be in school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in February to make up for time lost to Superstorm Sandy at the end of October, it'll only be for a half day, after the school board finalized the modified calendar Tuesday night.
After the storm left West closed an extra day due to electrical problems, administrators made the move to add in the extra day, with the caveat that it would come with community input, specifically with the Cherry Hill African American Civic Association getting involved as part of a committee on how the district should handle the curriculum for the day.
District officials have previously said the potential exists for seniors at East and West to have to take on Saturday sessions should there be multiple days of school canceled because of weather over the winter, as the graduation date for both schools is already set.
