Gas Main Work Affects Some Commutes Through Cherry Hill This Week: See Details

Drivers and PATCO commuters will be rerouted around the Woodcrest Road closure between Burnt Mill and Essex roads in Cherry Hill.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Gas main work for the Victory at Woodcrest Station apartment complex will continue through Wednesday in Cherry Hill, officials said.

Woodcrest Road will be closed between Burnt Mill and Essex roads during work hours, which run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. lately, according to a news release from Camden County.

"This closure will reroute PATCO commuters and anyone trying to access Rt 295 from the Cherry Hill side of Woodcrest Road," the county said.

PSE&G will be installing a new gas main for the complex from Monday-Wednesday.

All daily traffic on Route 295 coming from Cherry Hill will be detoured to the Haddon-Berlin Road entrance, officials said. All PATCO commuters "will be detoured to the Woodcrest station from the White Horse Pike through Borough of Lawnside until the work is finalized on Oct. 5."

“Motorists should consider taking an alternate route and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations to avoid potential delays based on the utility work,” said County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
