CINNAMINSON, NJ — One of the largest and most active white supremacist groups in the country had a presence in Cinnaminson last year, according a new report from the Anti-Defamation League.
The Loyal White Knights, one of about 35-40 groups that make up the Klu Klux Klan movement in the United States, was distributing recruitment fliers in the township as of Dec. 18, 2019, according to the report. They were also distributing flyers in Moorestown earlier in December, according to the report. Cinnaminson police have no record about the incident in question.
"Allow me to be abundantly clear that Cinnaminson Township, including our residents and municipal leaders, finds what this group stands for to be completely unacceptable, and we will not tolerate it in our community," Cinnaminson Police Chief Richard Calabrese said. "We will remain committed to ensuring that any group which promotes hate towards any of our residents is held accountable and that they understand their thoughts and actions are not welcomed in Cinnaminson Township."
